Advertising Terms & Conditions

Please read these Conditions carefully as they govern the provision of a digital advertising package by PrecisionX UK LTD (“we,” “us,” or “our”) to you. These Conditions apply to all advertisements placed, renewed, or amended on the PrecisionX platform, including the website located at www.PrecisionX.co.uk (“PrecisionX Website”), until the advert expires or is amended or renewed.

By using our website, you agree that these Conditions represent a legally binding agreement equivalent to a signed contract. PrecisionX may update these Conditions from time to time, and your continued use of the website after reasonable notice of such changes will constitute acceptance. Please review these Conditions regularly.

If you do not agree to these Conditions, you must not use our website.

User-Submitted Content:

Content submitted by users is considered non-confidential. PrecisionX reserves the right to use, adapt, delete, modify, or refuse such content as it deems appropriate without the obligation to compensate users.

Use of Listings:

Vehicle information on our platform is provided by the seller or third parties, and PrecisionX is not responsible for its accuracy. PrecisionX does not participate in any transactions between buyers and sellers originating from the website.

Third-Party Links:

Our website contains links to third-party websites. PrecisionX is not responsible for the content of linked sites and provides these links for convenience only. You are advised to review the terms and policies of such sites before engaging with them.

Risk Assumption:

Using the internet carries inherent risks. PrecisionX is not liable for the security of information transmitted via the internet or interruptions in service. 

Website Modifications:

We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the PrecisionX website at any time without prior notice.

Termination:

PrecisionX may terminate your access to the website or any part of it for various reasons, including violations of these Conditions, legal requests, or security issues. Such terminations will be made at our discretion, without liability.

Placing an Advert:

Upon placing an advert, you are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials. You agree that all registration information provided will be accurate. PrecisionX may reject an advert if the vehicle fails our comprehensive VDI checks, including Write-off Checks. We do not permit the advertising of CAT A or CAT B vehicles and may reject CAT C or D vehicles based on their condition. Advert rejection results in a refund.

We also only accept performance cars – Any listing submitted that does not meet this criterion will be rejected and a refund will be issued.

You will receive a confirmation email once your advert is accepted, but no contract exists until you receive this email. If your advert is rejected, no charges will apply.

We are able to mask your reg number on the face of the advert, but it will still be visible on the VDI report produced on your vehicle.

Basic Listing Package:

  • Your advert will be live for 12 weeks, with the option to renew for £2.95.
  • After 10 weeks, we will check if your vehicle has been sold. You can renew or end the listing accordingly.
  • If there is a break in advertising through deletion you will be required to relist for £4.95.

Premium Listing Package:

  • Your advert will remain live until the vehicle is sold.
  • If removed, re-listing under the premium package will cost £24.95.

Advert Content Guidelines:

  • Each advert may feature only one vehicle.
  • Photos and videos must meet the content standards outlined and may be rejected if they fail to do so.
  • Advert content must be accurate, comply with relevant legislation, and not include offensive, unlawful, or inappropriate material.

You warrant that you are legally entitled to sell the vehicle, a resident in the UK, you are not acting in the course of trade or business, and all information provided is accurate and complies with these Conditions. PrecisionX reserves the right to modify, reject, or remove adverts that do not meet our standards.

Our Rights & Obligations:

We strive to provide our service with reasonable care and skill but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. PrecisionX reserves the right to remove any materials that breach these Conditions or infringe on third-party rights.

We cannot guarantee that by placing an advert on our site, you will sell the vehicle in question, and we do not commit to finding a buyer for you. Our role is solely to provide a platform on which you can advertise your vehicle for sale.

The Comprehensive VDI report that are carried out when you place your advert are based on data supplied by an independent third party. The results provided are valid as at the time the advert is placed. We will not be liable for the accuracy of the results of any Checks/Reports that are displayed in an advert. It is your responsibility to check the results of the any Checks/Reports produced by us before you place your advert and determine whether or not you still want to proceed. We will not be liable for any loss you might suffer arising out of the results of any Checks/Reports.

Charges & Payment:

Advertising costs vary depending on the package selected. All payments must be made online, and prices are subject to change. Advertisements must be prepaid before publication.

Termination of Contract:

PrecisionX reserves the right to terminate the contract and remove adverts at any time.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHT:

In respect of any materials which you supply to us (“Materials”), you grant us a non-exclusive, irrevocable, perpetual and royalty free licence to use such Materials for any purpose. You confirm that neither you nor any other person will assert any moral rights in or relating to the Materials referred to above against us or any third party.

You agree that all intellectual property rights (including, without limitation, copyright, trademarks, database rights and design rights (whether registered or not)) in any copy, text, artwork, photographs, videos or other materials which we have created and/or in any way altered for you in connection with the advert shall belong to us absolutely.

Cancellation:

You may cancel your advert by removing it from the website. No refunds will be issued unless due to a breach of contract by PrecisionX.

Vehicle Check Terms and Conditions

HOW TO USE THE VEHICLE CHECK SERVICE

The PrecisionX platform allows you to perform a comprehensive VDI check on UK-registered vehicles. The service is designed to provide detailed insights into the history and condition of vehicles by accessing various data sources. By using this service, you agree to the following terms:

  1. Eligibility Requirements
    • Age Requirement: You must be at least 17 years old to use the PrecisionX platform. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
    • Vehicle Registration Requirement: The vehicle you wish to check must be registered within the United Kingdom. PrecisionX only supports UK-registered vehicles for its data services.
    • Payment of Applicable Fees: You are required to pay the fee associated with the VDI check before receiving the results. Payment is due upfront and can be made via the payment methods provided on the PrecisionX platform such as VDI credits or direct payments
  2. Types of Vehicles Covered
    PrecisionX VDI Checks are available for the following types of vehicles:

    • Cars
    • Motorcycles
    • Motorhomes
    • Vans
    • Trucks

PrecisionX VDI checks do not cover:

    • Agricultural vehicles
    • Plant machinery
    • Unregistered or non-roadworthy vehicles
    • Vehicles not registered in the UK
  2. Receiving Your Results
    Once you complete the VDI check, the results will be displayed directly within the PrecisionX platform. A confirmation email will also be sent to the email address associated with your account, containing a link to view and download the check results for future reference.
  3. Information Provided in the VDI Check
    The following key data points are included in the results of a PrecisionX VDI check:

    • Write Off: Check if the vehicle has been written off by an insurance company due to damage.
    • Imported/Exported Status: Identify whether the vehicle has been imported into or exported out of the UK.
    • Fuel Economy: Insight into the fuel efficiency of the vehicle, including official fuel consumption ratings.
    • Scrapped Car Check: Identify if the vehicle has been marked as scrapped in the official vehicle register.
    • Vehicle Valuation: Estimated market value of the vehicle based on current data.
    • Mileage Check: Verification of the recorded mileage to detect any mileage discrepancies.
    • Logbook Check: Confirm the presence of an official V5C (logbook) document.
    • Performance Specifications: Information on the vehicle’s engine power, torque, and top speed.
    • Colour Changes: A record of any past colour changes of the vehicle.
    • Engine Data: Details of the engine, including size, fuel type, and power output.
    • SMMT Details: Information from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), including make, model, and registration details.
    • Weight & Dimensions: Official measurements of the vehicle’s weight, height, length, and width.
    • Emissions Data: The vehicle’s CO2 emissions data and other environmental statistics.
    • MOT History: A detailed history of the vehicle’s past MOT tests, including dates and results.
    • Previous Keepers: Information on the number of previous owners of the vehicle.
    • VIN/Chassis Check: Verification of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or chassis number.
    • Vehicle Details: General details about the vehicle such as make, model, and year of manufacture.
    • Number Plate Changes: A record of any past changes to the vehicle’s number plate.
    • Police Stolen Status: Check if the vehicle has been reported as stolen to the police.
    • Outstanding Finance: Information about any outstanding finance agreements linked to the vehicle.

Note: Data points not explicitly listed above will not be included in the VDI check results.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

By accessing and using the PrecisionX platform, you agree to comply with the following responsibilities:

  1. Use the Service Responsibly
    You agree to use the PrecisionX Vehicle Check service for legitimate and lawful purposes only. You must not misuse the service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive activities. This includes, but is not limited to, using the check results to misrepresent vehicle history or mislead buyers or sellers in transactions.
  2. Adhere to the Terms and Conditions
    Your use of the PrecisionX service is subject to these terms and conditions. By using the platform, you agree to abide by all guidelines, rules, and legal requirements outlined herein.
  3. Personal and Business Use
    The VDI check results are intended for personal or business purposes related to the buying, selling, or valuation of vehicles. You may not perform VDI checks on behalf of another person or entity without their permission.
  4. Prohibition of Misleading Activities
    You must not use the PrecisionX Vehicle Check service for any activities that could mislead others, including falsifying or altering vehicle data in any way to manipulate outcomes in vehicle transactions.

NO RIGHT TO CANCELLATION

Please note that by purchasing a VDI check on the PrecisionX platform, you acknowledge and agree that the service is delivered immediately upon successful payment. Consequently, you waive your right to any cancellation or cooling-off period as described under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation, and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Refunds will not be provided once the VDI check results have been delivered.

WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES

While PrecisionX strives to ensure that the VDI check service is provided with care, accuracy, and efficiency, we do not offer any warranties or guarantees regarding the information provided. The data presented in the VDI check results is sourced from third-party data providers, and while we take steps to ensure accuracy, we cannot guarantee that the data will be entirely error-free or complete.

  1. Data Accuracy:
    The information presented in the VDI check is based on data made available from external sources. While we endeavour to provide accurate and up-to-date data, the completeness, accuracy, and reliability of the data cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, PrecisionX is not liable for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the check results.
  2. Availability of Service:
    The PrecisionX Vehicle Check service is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We cannot guarantee that the service will be continuously available without interruption or technical issues.
  3. Exclusion of Certain Warranties:
    PrecisionX does not make any promises, guarantees, or warranties regarding the quality or completeness of the information provided through its services, except as required by law. No advice or information obtained from the PrecisionX platform shall create any warranty or guarantee that is not expressly stated in these terms.
